Lavonne Cimbak

Owner, Visionary, Sometimes Sassy

Life is too precious to waste doing something that doesn’t bring you joy. Lavonne, the owner of Sage Bleu, realized this after spending five years working a desk job that didn’t align with her values or vision.

She took a leap of faith and pursued her passion for event planning, gaining experience through internships at large festivals and earning a certification in the field along with her Degree in Business Administration from UNLV, it just felt like a fit to start a business.

However, Lavonne’s true passion was food, and she found fulfillment in creating dishes that brought people together.

The name Sage Bleu holds a special meaning, as it is inspired by Lavonne’s childhood Australian Shepherds and the natural beauty of Central Oregon.

Today, Sage Bleu creates unforgettable events and experiences, with the ability to cater to both intimate gatherings and large-scale events.

Lavonne’s love for nature is also evident, as she enjoys exploring the surrounding lakes, rivers, and wildlife of the Oregon Coast when she’s not in the kitchen.

At Sage Bleu, the focus is always on what’s most important to the client, ensuring a truly memorable occasion.

Taylor Bowyn

Event Strategist, Kitchen Wizard, Cocktail Specialist

Hello there, my name is Taylor Bowyn, a semi newcomer to the North Coast, but a long time visitor and admirer. Back in February, my fiance and I decided to give up our city digs in Seattle and move to Gearhart so he could help with the family business, leaving me to wonder where my next steps would take me.

At this point my 12 year hospitality stint consisted of some pretty amazing jobs including planning private events for the Nordstrom family, cooking for Mercer Island elites, bartending with some of the best mixologists in the world, managing James Beard nominated restaurants, with a sprinkling of some sales and marketing.

Moving to a small town was scary, I was worried that I had given up my big girl job experiences and turned them in for good. But alas, Sage Bleu came into my life at the perfect time in the perfect way. For the past almost year, I’ve had the privilege of watching Lavonne build a kitchen and turn her catering brand and vision into something truly beautiful.

We both work tirelessly with our clients to ensure that every event has incredible food and beverage that reflects the client’s story and our passions. We love what we do and can’t wait to be a part of your next event!
